Facilities Created with Purpose.
BlackSea offers quick-turn custom machining and metal fabrication that our engineers use for rapid prototyping, manufacturing, and custom product fabrication. Our technicians can fabricate to complete specifications, but can also work with prime contractors or procurement when specifications or requirements are unclear or require shop feedback for refinement. Our technicians have extensive experience building marine vehicles (land, air, sea surface and subsurface), buoys, machine parts and gears, housings, cabinets, chassis, lifts, davits and cranes, and test equipment, often with unusual or difficult requirements.

Baltimore Facility Overview
Square Footage: 57,000 Building / 40,000 Floor / 40x40’ Door
Waterfront & Access: Deepwater access, peer, bulkheads, and Mediterranean mooring berths (20’ depth)
Interior Cranes: Two 30-ton bridge gantry cranes, 31 feet under hook
Machine Shop: Metals, Ceramics, Plastics (see below for material types and equipment list)
Sizes: Rounds up to 8” diameter by 30” long, Flats or squares 30” x 60” x 20”
