BlackSea Technologies Awarded $256 Million Navy Contract to Build Seabased Petroleum Distribution Systems
BlackSea Technologies has been awarded a five-year, $256 million Navy contract to build and support the Seabased Petroleum Distribution System (SPDS), a critical capability for delivering fuel from sea to shore in contested and infrastructure-limited environments.

BlackSea Technologies will unveil two new small Unmanned Surface Vessels (sUSV), Chaser and Comet, at Sea-Air-Space 2026, the Navy League of the United States’ global maritime exposition, held April 19 to 22 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. The event is widely recognized as the premier maritime exposition in the United States, bringing together defense industry leaders and senior military decision makers from around the world. Both new vessels will be displayed at the waterside exhibition pier.

ANELLO Photonics, the creator of the Silicon Photonics Optical Gyroscope (SiPhOG™) and a leader in solid-state, high-precision inertial navigation systems, and BlackSea Technologies (blacksea.tech), a developer of advanced autonomous maritime systems, today announced that the ANELLO Maritime Inertial Navigation System (INS), following successful demonstration on the GARC platform, has been selected and designed into BlackSea Technologies’ Chaser autonomous surface vessel.

BlackSea’s GARCs Support ARES at HURT-X
BlackSea Technologies is proud to support the U.S. Naval Academy's Adaptive Rapid Engagement Squadron (ARES), a Midshipmen-led research and development team. Our Techs brought four Global Autonomous Reconnaissance Craft to Annapolis this weekend to support a drone warfare competition with cadets from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
