COMMAND & CONTROL

Fiber Optic Control for Unmanned Surface Vessels.

FOCUS (Fiber Optic Control of Unmanned Systems) Kit gives BlackSea unmanned surface vessels (USVs) a resilient, high-bandwidth fiber optic link for command and control in environments where traditional RF communications may be degraded, denied, or detectable.

The low-latency, RF-independent connection supports first-person-view (FPV) operations, high-bandwidth data transfer, and reliable vessel control in contested environments.

THE MODERN BATTLEFIELD

Operate Beyond the Limits of Traditional RF Communications.

Modern conflicts have demonstrated that RF communications and GNSS can no longer be assumed. Electronic warfare, signal detection, and communications jamming have made resilient command and control a critical requirement for unmanned systems operating in contested environments.

The FOCUS Kit enables operators to maintain direct control through a dedicated fiber optic communications link, providing low-latency vessel control without relying on conventional RF communications.

RF-Independent Control

Maintain vessel control without relying on traditional radio-frequency communications.

Low-Latency Response

Support responsive first-person-view operation and precise maneuvering through a direct communications path.

High-Bandwidth Communications

Transmit command, control, video, and mission data through a dedicated fiber optic link.

Contested Environment Ready

Designed for operations where electronic warfare, RF interference, and communications denial are expected.

THE FOCUS KIT

A Complete Fiber Optic Control Solution.

The FOCUS Kit combines the equipment required to establish a fiber optic command-and-control link between the operator and an unmanned surface vessel. The modular kit includes the shore-side infrastructure, vessel-side conversion hardware, interchangeable fiber packs, and a rugged maritime pack holder.

01

Base Station

Provides the shore-side connection between the operator control station and the fiber optic communications link.

02

In-Line Converter

Interfaces the fiber optic connection with the vessel’s command, control, video, and telemetry architecture.

03

Interchangeable Fiber Packs

Support mission-specific operating ranges through replaceable fiber configurations selected for the mission.

04

Maritime Pack Holder

Secures the selected fiber pack aboard the vessel in a rugged, modular assembly designed for maritime deployment.
