ANELLO Photonics, the creator of the Silicon Photonics Optical Gyroscope (SiPhOG™) and a leader in solid-state, high-precision inertial navigation systems, and BlackSea Technologies (blacksea.tech), a developer of advanced autonomous maritime systems, today announced that the ANELLO Maritime Inertial Navigation System (INS), following successful demonstration on the GARC platform, has been selected and designed into BlackSea Technologies’ Chaser autonomous surface vessel.

BlackSea Technologies marked a major milestone in the development of its NightTrain autonomous logistics vessel with a keel-laying ceremony in Baltimore. Designed to deliver containerized cargo over long distances in contested environments, NightTrain represents a new approach to sustaining forward forces without reliance on traditional ports or infrastructure.

BlackSea Technologies is proud to support the U.S. Naval Academy's Adaptive Rapid Engagement Squadron (ARES), a Midshipmen-led research and development team. Our Techs brought four Global Autonomous Reconnaissance Craft to Annapolis this weekend to support a drone warfare competition with cadets from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. ARES focuses on testing and proving new techniques, tactics and procedures related to new technologies like drones and AI in simulated combat scenarios.

BlackSea Technologies is proud to participate in Operation Southern Spear, a key initiative led by U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command and U.S. 4th Fleet. This operation integrates Robotic and Autonomous Systems (RAS) into the U.S. Southern Command Area of Responsibility (USSOUTHCOM AOR).
